J.D. making good use of space and texture, these songs narrate times of wakefulness that are carried by self-reflection and awe for the intangible vastness of life. Favorite track: Noises Become Friendly.

Jeannie I found it very difficult to pick a favorite track! I was reading about the " loudness wars " and laughed out loud because sounds like something my family would partake in but I prefer quiet especially at nighttime. Will be loving to meditate on these early of the morning and of course late at night, whether I am the last person awake or not ha ha. ♥
Something Good, Huntress, Cave and Drifting Off are already etched in my memory, but all of the songs are uniquely special, I am grateful for them. Favorite track: Something Good.

Suzanne This new music is so comforting right now. These are troubling times and these songs are peaceful and calming. I can’t pick a favorite, I love them all.

about

Main ingredients:
bloops and bleeps, delays, guitar, drones, and tape hiss

This is an ambient album written to accompany anyone still awake when it feels like everyone else is sleeping. Maybe you are the one who tucks everyone in, or need to wind down after a late shift. Maybe you got suckered into a social media rabbit hole or still have so many dishes to do. Or maybe you just don't fall asleep that easily. These tracks are what those things sounds like to me - not to get ourselves to fall asleep necessarily, but to surround us in the buzz, aliveness, trippiness, aloneness, and undeniable connection to all other beings when we realize we are the last person awake.

Note about the mastering:
The "loudness wars" and saturation of the airwaves have encouraged aggressive frequency content and little dynamic range. This album is mastered differently from most modern recordings and is saying a polite "no thank you" to the loudness wars. This means these tracks may sound quieter than most other recordings out there. I have done this purposefully, to make repeated listening enjoyable for your ears, especially late into the night. Wahoo!
